Ribbon Cutting held at Bourbon Community Hospital for the expansion of Interventional Pain Management Services
December 10, 2021
Paris, KY – (December 10, 2021) – Bourbon Community Hospital partnered with the Paris/Bourbon County Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the expansion of pain management and treatment services. The expansion comes after the growth and demand for Dr. Vinod Muniswamy and the services offered at the Central Kentucky Interventional Pain Management Center, with clinics located at Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown and Bluegrass Community Hospital in Versailles as well.
“We are excited to expand our services to the citizens of Bourbon County and the opportunity to help more Kentuckians struggling with chronic pain,” said Dr. Muniswamy. “Interventional pain management can often be a better solution than opioids for pain management, and we want to make sure more people have access to our treatment options to improve their quality of life.”
Interventional pain management is designed for people experiencing chronic pain for three to six months or longer to treat a variety of acute, chronic, cancer-related and post-operative pain. A comprehensive review of symptoms and medical history is completed before creating a customized treatment plan. Treatment methods include injections, spinal stimulation, nerve blockers, pain pumps and physical therapy. Treatments can help people with conditions such as nerve damage, muscle spasms, neck and back pain, arthritis pain, headaches and migraines, cancer pain, leg pain and more.
